How much car can I actually afford?
A lender can tell you what you qualify for. This calculator shows what the car does to your real monthly budget — payment, insurance, fuel, maintenance and all.

What does “afford” mean here?
RealJobPay does not tell you what a bank may approve. It shows how the vehicle fits into the numbers you entered. “True monthly car cost” combines the estimated loan payment with insurance, fuel and maintenance.
How much car can I afford based on salary?
Salary alone can hide taxes and deductions, so this calculator starts with monthly take-home pay. Enter the amount that actually reaches you, then subtract your real bills and savings goal. This makes it easier to test a specific vehicle without pretending every household has the same budget.
Why include insurance, fuel and maintenance?
The loan payment is only part of owning a vehicle. Two cars with the same purchase price can have very different ongoing costs. Including those costs gives you a more useful monthly comparison.
This calculator is an educational budgeting estimate, not lending, financial or tax advice. It does not include every possible ownership cost and does not guarantee loan approval.
